On Wednesday 5th December, we represented St. Pius X, G.N.S. and competed in the Intel Regional Final 2018 in ITB in Blanchardstown. Our project was “IS BORAX DANGEROUS IN THE MAKING OF SLIME?” We were so excited that we left our houses at 7.30am and were one of the first groups to set up! Our mams helped us. We then headed to the canteen for hot chocolate and sausages, just to ensure we had enough energy to present our project! We watched nervously as the judges were getting closer. Patrick the judge was really interested in our project and asked lots of questions which to our relief, we were all able to answer. We offered to show him our slime experiment and our magic snow! He said our project was really good. A second judge came along and showed great interest in it as well. Scientific Sue presented her amazing magic show! Our favourite part was the bouncing foam bubble. We were so happy when we got our photo taken with Sue! The awards ceremony took place after that. We had a fantastic day and celebrated with our families.
