National Children’s Choir 2019

On the third of April the 5th classes visited the Nation Basketball Arena in Tallaght for the National Children’s Choir Concert. We started preparing for NCC at the start of the year, There were 15 songs altogether. We practices on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sometimes we even practices with St. Mary’s N.S. from Donnybrook and Ranelagh Educate Together. Ms. Purcell conducted us there.

We got a bus t the National Basketball Arena. Máiréad Déiseach conducted us there and we had a whole orchestra playing with us!!! We sang with three other schools; Bayside S.N.S., Edmondstown N.S. and Belgrove B.N.S. from Clontarf. Shane Morgan, who is a very famous actor and singer, introduced our songs and sang twice himself. It was great fun for everyone and the audience really enjoyed it! We had a lot of fun!

On the 3rd of April we were part of the NCC in the National Basketball Arena. We sang songs in lots of different languages. Out personal favourite was Listen to the Rain as we made a thunder storm with our hands and feet (body percussion). We had the joy of listening to “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman and a song by Elvis Presley, sung by Shane Morgan. We are so grateful for having Ms, Sheehan as we could not have done it without her. “Thanks” we really enjoyed it.
