Our Junior Infants started Camogie training today with Tommy from Faughs GAA. They had a great morning learning how to hold a hurl and hit the sliotar!
We have investigated finger-prints, magnets, floating and sinking, rainbow spinners and played with a non-Newtonian fluid- obleck! We had lots of fun, predicting what would happen and then conducting our investigations. We also read about lots of female scientists such as Marie Curie, Ada Lovelace and Jane Goodall.
Thanks to Lorcan Kelleher, we (the 5th and 6th classes) were given the opportunity to talk with Italian Space Engineers Giulia and Cristina.
