Student Council Trip to Leinster House

Ms Dennedy and Ms McGuinness brought the Student Council on a very special trip to Leinster House on Wednesday 14th June. This was a reward for all their hard work during the year. It certainly didn’t disappoint! The girls were greeted by Mary Seery Kearney who gave a very warm welcome and organised special packs including a special certificate of appreciation, a memorandum from 100 years of the Seanad amongst other things.

The girls were very lucky to speak to a number of politicians including Jerry Buttimer, the head of the Seanad who gave them a special shout out during the sitting of the Seanad which the girls were delighted with.

As if that wasn’t enough, we were escorted up to the Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar’s private office by his special advisor. The girls even got to sit in his chair!!!

The girls also got a special tour of the Sycamore Room where the cabinet meets to vote!

A great day was had by all!
