Our Student Council visit Leinster House

Our budding politicians, the Student Council visited Leinster House today, Wednesday 6th March along with Ms Dennedy and Ms McGuinness. The day started with a fantastic lesson in the history of Leinster House with a special hour long tour of the place. They got a special viewing of the Dáil Chambers in action and also got to sit in the Seanad while it was in session – they even got a special shout out from the Cathaoirleach  of the Seanad, Jerry Buttimer!

Senator Mary Seery Kearney had special packs ready for the girls at the end of the tour.

The highlight of the day came with lunch on the famous “plinth” where the girls got to meet Minister Norma Foley and leader of the Seanad, Lisa Chambers! What an amazing day!!
