There was great excitement in the halls of St. Pius X GNS today when Santa flew in to visit our classes. Thank you to our fantastic Parents Association for organising this visit on Santa's busiest week of the year!
Well done to Cohen Heenan (Mr Smyth 6th Class) and Rubymae Heenan (Ms Goss Snr Infants), along with Ailbe who made and sold candles at the end of their road over the weekend. All money collected is in aid of SVP, so far they have raised €100.
Ms. Smith and Mr. Neary's class made these beautiful angels out of paper! Thank you to our very talented SNA's Rhona and Pauline for coaching the girls with this wonderful art project.
Ms. Godson's Class have been busy getting ready for Santa. We were hard at work when he popped by to check up on us!
Thank you to everyone who donated to the St. Vincent De Paul collection in December 2020. Due to restrictions we could not do our usual food collection so we set up an online donation instead. The school and SVDP were overwhelmed by the generosity shown.
On Thursday 17th December we heard bells ringing in the yard of St. Pius X GNS. What a surprise we got when we say Santa Claus outside our classroom windows! Thank you for coming to visit us Santa, we know how busy you are this time of year!
4th class were very busy over the past week creating their beautiful Christmas cards with meaningful poems and messages inside, to send to a nursing home in Co. Kerry. Here are some pictures of the girls' creations :)
Santa's little helpers have been busy in Junior Infants. We have been wrapping presents, writing letters, making decorations, cards and toys, and servicing the Polar Express to make sure it is ready for all weathers. Most of all we have been working very hard and having lots of fun with our friends.
